Initial consonants /f/, /b/, /y/, and blends /fr/ and /sh/

Dear 1 Peace,

During FTGP (Form teacher guidance period), we discussed on your feelings on the first week of school and your school experience so far.

From what you have said, I am really glad that you have enjoyed coming to school, especially Recess time, and playing at the soccer field and basketball court. Some of you also mentioned that you enjoyed the lessons! We will have more games next time. :)

During Mathematics lesson, we had a chance to use the interlocking cubes to learn about 'more than' and 'less than'. You are also able to show with your interlocking cubes the number that is greater than or smaller than the number your friend showed!

We also played a short game on 'more than' and 'less than'. Here is the link if you want to play with your siblings or even your parents! -       http://www.ictgames.com/mucky.html

During English lesson, we learnt about initial consonants and blends today. We had a good time looking for words around the classroom that has the same initial sound /b/, /f/ and /y/. Here are some of the words I got from you during lesson

/b/ : ball, boy, bark

/f/: fence, farmer, fear,

/y/ : yellow, yelled, yucks

We will be having Mathematics spelling tomorrow. Remember to learn your spelling!

Love,
Mrs Say
